Abstract
172,235. Smith, M. M. Jan. 7, 1921. Moulding walls in situ.-In moulded concrete walls, the openings for windows, doors, fire-places, &c., are formed by frameworks of wood comprising two uprights B and a cross-member A joined together at their ends by wedge pieces F having openings which align with lugs on the frame members to receive the securing bolts F<2>. A lower distance-piece G may be used if desired. Some. times it is necessary to support the window frame in position during the casting, in which case two such frames are used, one on each side of the window frame D, and each wedge piece is recessed to pass over the window frame. The window frame may be recessed to receive the end of a waterproof core E, when such is used. Specification 154,392, [Class 20 (iv), Floors &c.], is referred to.
