Abstract

172,149. Watsonian Folding Sidecar Co., Ltd., and Watson, T. F. Sept. 14, 1920. Side-car attachments.-In means for connecting a sidecar to a motor-cycle, the sidecar or the cycle end of a connecting-stay 12 is adjustably secured to an eye-bolt 7 which is disposed within a fixed member, such as a lug 4 upon the side-car chassis, and carries a flexible member in the form of a spring or rubber cushion 8 disposed between the fixed member and a shoulder on the eye-bolt. The stay is fitted with a split clamp 13 which is secured to the stay and to the eye-bolt by a bolt 15 passed through the lugs 14 of the clamp and through the eye of the eye-bolt. As shown, the cushion at its upper end abuts against a cap 9 upon the eyebolt.
