Abstract

159,720. Caddick, W. Jan. 8, 1920. Spring devices.-The rear wheel of a motor-cycle &c. has a spring- suspension connection with the main frame. The wheel frame A of triangular shape strengthened by radial tubes a<1>, is pivoted about the point b and attached by links C to the main frame. A semielliptical spring D, pivoted at E and with a link connection to the frame at F, receives vibration shocks through the link attached at its middle point. An elliptical spring may also be used, or two semi-elliptical springs, back to back.
