Hats, securing to head.-For retaining a hat on the wearer's head, a band made up of alternate strips of equal length of celluloid Band elastic " A sewn together is provided inside the hat adjacent to the brim. Four strips of each material make up the band. Celluloid strips are arranged at the front and rear, and these strips are each secured to the hat by a screw-threaded pin C having a washer and threaded knob outside the hat. Holes G allow for sewing as additional securing- means. Friction slides F are provided on an elastic strip at each side, to allow adjustment. The side-portions of the band are free from the hat and engage the sides of the wearer's head.
