Abstract

484,168. Caps for personal wear. BLANKENBURG, F. Oct. 30, 1936, No. 29539. [Class 63] A peaked cap has the lower edge of the sweatband a stretched and fastened in this stretched condition into position in the cap by a strip g of rigid material. In a modification, the sweatband is formed of two overlapping strips, the lower edge of the sweat-band proper being stretched and secured in overlapping relations to a second flexible strip itself secured by the rigid strip g. The strip g may be of metal or celluloid and may be secured by rivets h. A rubber band k may be secured to the back of the sweat-band. The constructions provide a cushion-like effect.
