Systems for alternating-current motors only.- For starting three-phase induction motors a change-over from star to delta connections is accompanied, by the exclusion of transformer windings. In the arrangement shown, the terminals of three stator windings of a motor A are respectively connected to three contacts 10, 11, 12 of a starting switch F, and on movement of the handle to the left from the position shown, are joined up starwise to three tappings of an autotransformer D. By moving the handle to the right, the transformer is cut out and the stator windings are connected to the mains in delta. The position of the tappings may be changed as required.
