Abstract

170,250. McCrudden, J. C. R. July 6, 1920. Cartridge magazines. - A segmental-shaped magazine 1 with cartridges arranged in laterallystaggered order is carried by a frame 6, 7 which fits detachably over a pin 9 on the gun, the delivery end 2 of the magazine being supported by a catch 4. The magazine has its inner wall 17 slotted to receive a spring-actuated arm 16 which acts on the platform 19 through a second spring 18 to force the cartridges upwards against lips 13 ready for insertion in the gun chamber.
