Abstract

168,853. Gemayel, J. Sept. 10, 1920, [Convention date]. Air and steam pressure sprayers.-A liquid-fuel spray burner for projecting the atomized combustible in the form of a flat sheet consists of a casing divided into two shallow superposed compartments 1, 2 having fuel and steam or air connections 8, 9 respectively and separated by a partition 3. The partition 3 is provided with a recess 4 forming a reservoir below the oil fuel connection 8 and is formed with ridges and grooves 5 over its remaining upper surface. The lips 6, 7 of the compartments 1, 2 are also formed with ridges and grooves corresponding to the grooves and ridges in the partition 3. A removable plate is secured over an opening 10 at the rear of the compartment 1 to facilitate cleaning. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) comprises an arrangement of the burner shown in Fig. 6 (Cancelled), in which a pipe 12 connects the steam or air pipe 9 to the fuel pipe 8 to allow steam or air to be admitted to the compartment 1 for cleaning. The pipes 8, 9, 12 are fitted with control valves 15. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
