Abstract
167,994. Luft, S. Dec. 2, 1920. Food preparations; sauces.-A preparation for making soups, gravies, sauces, &c. is made by roasting grain, impregnating it with fat, and adding salt, spices, desiccated vegetables or extract of meat or vegetables. The grain is roasted at a temperature of 300‹ F. and mixed with the fat while still hot and dry. The flavouring-materials &c. must not introduce any material quantity of moisture. The product, formed into tablets or not, is wrapped in waxed paper or tin foil.
