Abstract
Humus substances such as peat or bog earth are rendered soluble or colloidal by heating under pressure with alkaline hydroxides, carbonates, phosphates or silicates, ammonia, sulphur compounds, ammoniacal copper oxide, or cellulose lyes. The products may be used for making emulsions and for dissolving medicines which only with difficulty are converted into the colloidal form.ALSO:Humus substances, such as peat or bog earth are converted into a soluble or colloidal form by heating under pressure with caustic alkalis, alkaline carbonates or phosphates, water-glass, ammonia, sulphur compounds, ammoniacal oxide of copper, or cellulose lyes.ALSO:Humus substances, such as peat or bog earth are converted into a soluble or colloidal form by heating under pressure with caustic alkalis, alkaline carbonates or phosphates, water-glass, ammonia, sulphur compounds, ammoniacal-oxide of copper, or cellulose lyes. The products can be used as binding or thickening material for colours for printing carpets or calico.ALSO:Humic substances, such as peat or bog earth, are converted into a soluble or colloidal form by heating under pressure with ammoniacal oxide of copper.
