Description
Processing of sulphite waste liquor. In previous attempts that That was to make the waste liquor from the sulphite pulp production usable by coking The main focus is on the one hand the highest possible yield of by-products (Acetic acid, acetone, etc.), on the other hand a high-efficiency absorption carbon to win. For this purpose, the waste liquor was heated to very high temperatures, viz those over 700 °, heated and lime and soda added to the thickened waste liquor. With this method of operation, however, the entire sulfur content of the waste liquor went completely lost.
The invention now relates to a method for processing sulphite cellulose waste liquors, this is also the case, apart from the manufacture of the previous products that could be extracted from the lye a complete recovery of the sulfur of the waste liquor is allowed. This effect it is achieved that the depletion of the waste liquor evaporated to dryness at temperatures is carried out below 25o ° and the resulting gases cause a decomposition to avoid, by working under reduced pressure as quickly as possible removed will.
In this way it is possible to remove all of the sulfur in the waste liquor recovered in finely divided form and thus a new source for sulfur production to be developed domestically. By subsequently increasing the temperature, it is then also possible without any additives, the by-products achieved so far distillation as well as an absorption carbon of high efficiency to obtain.
ZSOZ+3C---2C0+CO2+2S CO, TH2S=--CO+S+H20.The reaction when the thickened waste liquor subsides takes place in such a way that the SO "of the aldehyde-sulfuric acid group is split off as such, while the firmly bound S groups are reduced to H, S. The conversion to molecular S then proceeds after the known reaction in front of you: ZSOZ + 3C --- 2C0 + CO2 + 2S CO, TH2S = - CO + S + H20.
