Abstract
166,504. Schneider et Cie. July 10, 1920, [Convention date]. Timing.-The fuel-supply mechanism and the centrifugal governor 1, responsive to the speed of the engine, are jointly connected to the shaft 8 so that, while this shaft in moving the lever 9 through the angle a8b produces no substantial adjustment of the lug b<1> attached to the interrupter casing 6, further increase of speed or decrease of load in moving the point b of the lever 9 in the direction of the point c causes a rotation of the casing 6 and consequent retardation of the ignition. A cam 13 may be substituted for the lever 9. One portion of this cam is concentric and its movement therefore produces no adjustment of the roller carried by the end of the rod 10. Further movement of the cam, however, brings the portion be into engagement with the roller and, owing to the spring 14, a corresponding adjustment of the rod 10 and interrupter casing results.
