Abstract

166,414. Smith, B. May 25, 1920. Foot-rests.-A spring-mounted foot-board for motor-cycles &c. is adapted to rock about an arm or spindle, and also to move bodily up and down on the arm, against the action of one or more springs. The footboard G is provided with slots F<2> engaging bushes C on a cranked arm or spindle A, so that the footboard is capable of pivotal and also bodily movement on the bushes C. The ends of the footboard are engaged by leaf springs K, J, which are secured to a block H adjustably fixed to the arm A. The front spring K is provided with an extension K<2> adapted to supplement the rear spring J.
