[Class 108 (i)] An ambulance seat B, convertible to a stretcher carrier, comprises a rigid seat frame A, the rear side of which carries a fixed runner G<SP>1</SP> to receive one side of a stretcher K, and a front runner G, carried by arms F pivoted to the seat frame, to receive the other side of the stretcher K. The front runner G is supported in its operative position by legs J pivoted to it and resting on the floor. The front runner G may also be swung down to occupy a position below the seat B.
