Abstract

164,926. Cheston, A. S. April 23, 1920. Folding seats.-In folding seats of the type having a seat proper supported at each side by jointed-together members, one hinged to the rear of the seat while the other is pivoted to the side through the: medium of a link, one of the jointedtogether members at each side of the seat is constructed in two parts, pivoted together. Fig. 1 shows such a folding seat, the parts 13, 8 being pivoted together at 12, while the back 15 carries lugs 16, slotted at 17 to engage the pin 9. In the modification shown in Fig. 4, a lug 19 is provided on the seat member 1, to engage a stepped part 20 on the back 15.
