Abstract

164,359. Grosclaude, D. June 8, 1920, [Convention date]. Locking nuts.-A nut and bolt are locked together by means of a wire which passes through a hole B in the shank of the bolt and along two diametrically opposed V - shaped grooves C. When the nut is in place and tightened up, the ends of the wire are turned down on to the nut or into grooves in its castellation. According to the Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a), if the hole B does not pass completely through the bolt, the wire is in two parts. The two holes thus necessitated need not be on the same axis. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
