163,586. Goold, L. W., (Ross Manufacturing Co.). May 6, 1920. Dressing grindstones.-In a tool for dressing emery wheels, carborundum wheels &c., such as is described in Specification 119,765, the rotary tool 26 is mounted by means of ball bearings 21 upon sleeves 12, 16 capable of sliding upon a fixed shaft 3 carried by the forked end of the tool spindle. The shaft 3 has a shoulder 6 and a head 7 at one end, the other end being threaded as shown and carrying a lock-nut. By screwing up tile shaft 3, the sleeves 12, 16 are caused to approach each other so as to tighten up the bearings. Lubricant is inserted at 8 and finds its way to the balls through a passage 9.
