Reinforced concrete. - Metal reinforcements for concrete and like substances are cast, bent, pressed, or stamped in variations of H-section, with the flanges bent inwards. Fig. 1 shows such a section with the flanges a<2>, a<3> bent inwards, and both flanges may be integral with the web a or each may be formed with a web. Figs. 4 and 6 show other forms, and dovetail grooves a<7> may be formed in the flanges and webs.
