Abstract
163,105. Engelke, E. F. Feb. 10, 1920. Filter-presses of the type in which the plates have apertures in their body, which together form a supply conduit for the several plates, are divided into sections by means of partition plates C<1>, each of which has one or more radial channels C, connected at their outer ends to the supply main F and delivering at the inner ends to the line of apertures. The sections are thus supplied independently. The connection to the main F may be by means of a union U, flexible hose H, and valve V, cr the flexible hose may be replaced by straight pipes S' with three or more flexible joints J<1>. A press having the usual single feedpipe L<5> at one end can be converted into a multiple feed press by the insertion of plates C<1>.
