160,885. Harris, H. H., and Whiteley & Sons, Ltd., W. Nov. 28, 1919. Endless band conveyers, articles carried by.- Relates to drying apparatus of the multiple endless-band type in which the material, such as flax, hosiery, &c. is transferred from one band to another beneath it without being disarranged, and consists in keeping the material straight during the transference by means of an apron A formed of linen, woven-wire, &c. and maintained in contact with the material upon that portion of the conveyer band J which is on the outside of the roller &c. The apron is carried upon a rotating drum E and guide-rollers F, G. The guiderollers are carried by a lever H, H', which is pivoted upon the shaft of the drum. The roller G and the lower end of the lever H, H<1> are maintained in proximity with the lower band L by dies M, N.
