703,550. Conveying web-like material. AKTIEBOLAGET SVENSKA FLAKTFA BRIKEN. Nov. 7, 1960 [Nov. 7, 1949], No. 27194/50. Class 78 (1) [Also in Group XVI] Web-like material such as fabric is fed through a drying-machine 10 by a conveyer comprising a pair of endless metal bands 2 which pass over pairs of pulleys 4, 8 to the machine and return over pulleys at 20, 8, 5, 1, the material being stretched between the bands on pins upstanding from the bands or from plates secured to the bands. The pulleys at 1 are supported on arms 32 which may be swung about on axis 32<SP>1</SP> whereby the pulleys may be adjusted to suit the width of the material being fed at 3. After treatment the material is either wound on a roller 18 or laid in layers on the floor by means of a rod 26 reciprocated by a crank 33.
