Abstract

156,976. Walton, C. G. Nov. 29, 1919. Impeller blades.- A rotor for a centrifugal fan has a cylindrical wall A and blades formed integrally therewith by slitting and bending portions of the wall. One end of the wall is turned outwards to form a strengthening- flange C and the other end is filled with an end plate D. The plate D may be integral with the curved wall A, in which case the complete rotor may be made by stamping and spinning, or a separate end plate may be secured to the wall after the latter has been obtained by curling a metal sheet. Two or more series of blades may be formed, the blades of one being staggered with respect to those of another. The blades may be secured at one end to a detachable ring.
