Abstract

156,490. Freyn, Brassert, & Co., (Assignees of Brassert, H. A.). June 28, 1915, [Convention date]. Separators.-Blast-furnace gas is first passed through a coarse spray then through a finer spray at the same time impinging against inclined baffles, and finally dried. The drier casing 28 contains a large number of vertical baffles 29 upon which the water is deposited and down which it trickles into the traps 30 out of the path of the gas.
