Abstract
155,540. Foenquinos, L. Dec. 16, 1919, [Convention date]. Ships and boats adapted to run on land; submarine vessels.-A land-andwater vessel or machine, adapted for locomotion on land or in water, either on the surface or submerged, is provided with land locomotion means of the endless-track type and wi th a screw propeller. The endless-track device is disposed within the chamber; F, F', Fig. 9, provided with sectional hinged covers for access to the working parts. The framing of the vessel includes longitudinal and transverse main girders J<1> with secondary lighter framing arranged thereon to support the hull or shell. According to the Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) of the Act, the power, transmission, and ccntrolling means includes an internal-combustion engine M, Fig. 30 (Cancelled), clutches Ep, Eb, &c., gear-box and differential mechanism Gd, periscopes P, diving and steering rudders Gd, G all controlled from a suitable position. The vesse. is suitably divided into navigating and cargo compartments, the former being disposed at the front with look-out glazed windows 0 &c. Figs. 15 and 18 (Cancelled) also show an arrangement and manner of use of the vessels. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
