Air tubes and chambers; jackets and covers.- The air-tube is formed in segments d with flat ends which are reinforced by rubber rings f and rubber- and-canvas disks g. Each segment is fitted with a combined valve and security-bolt v. The outer cover may be formed in corresponding sections, the ends of which may have a ba.yonet-joint connexion. Fig. 5 shows a form of sectional cover in which overlapping end projections m, n, are connected by lacing. The cover-joints may be reinforced by external metal or studded leather straps.
