Abstract

122,553. Gill, J. H., and Rea, J. D. April 3, 1918. Tread bands.-A detachable tread band 1 of rub. ber or other flexible material, formed with scalloped edges 13, is secured over the tyre cover 6 by screws 9 bearing on washer plates 10 and engaging nuts 6 having flanged bases 8 recessed into the tyre cover as shown. To exclude grit &c., the band may be additionally secured by rubber solution.
