Jackets and covers. - A liner for use between the air-tube and cover consists of a rubber band which is not less than one-eighth of an inch thick at the tread portion and is reinforced on one or both faces with bias-cut fabric D, F. In the construction shown in Fig. 2, the rubber body consists of inner and outer bands E, G with intermediate spaced strips F leaving cavities F<1>. Under pressure in use, the cavities F<1> result in the formation of ribs or corugations on the outer surface of the liner.
