Jackets and covers.-A wheel with a U-shaped rim A constructed to act as an air reservoir, and fitted with a valve C, is closed by a ring of segments D arranged between inner and outer rubber bands E, H. A flexible outer cover O is secured by flanges P and bolts K. The segments D may be of wood or metal, solid or hollow, preferably of the shape shown. The inner rubber band H is of inverted U-shape and reinforced with metal strips I. The outer band E is fitted with solid wood blocks F recessed into the segments D.
