Tread bands; tyre attachments to rims.-A pneumatic tyre casing 4 has a flat portion 9 to which metal clamping- devices 10 are secured by rivets 11. The clamping- devices are made in two sections hinged at 19 and with arms 12 bearing on the sides of the tyre casing and arms 13 engaging grooves 14 in the sides of a rubber &c. tread 15. Shoulders 20, 21 limit the closing movement of the arms 13. The tyre casing 4 is secured to the rim 7 by metal hooks 5 attached to the tyre casing by rivets 6.
