Abstract

In the test circuit, a high-current source (1), a first high-voltage source (3) which can be bridged by a first auxiliary switch (6), a second high-voltage source (4) which can be bridged by a second auxiliary switch (7), and the switch (5) to be tested are connected in series. To increase the performance of this circuit, a generator forming the high-current source (1) is connected into the test circuit directly or via a transformer stepping up the test current. During the time of current flow of the high-current source (1), the first high-voltage source (3) is connected into the test circuit in such a manner that, in the area of the zero crossing of the test current, its voltage increases the returning voltage of the high-current source (1) to a value which causes the second high-voltage source (4) to be connected into the test circuit for loading with voltage the switch (5) to be tested. <IMAGE>
