Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable the inspection of a three-phase breaking test with a test extinguish chamber of one phase by setting an auxiliary circuit breaker to a test breaker in series. CONSTITUTION:A regular voltage and current from a generator are supplied to a test circuit breaker 4 through a reactor 2 and an auxiliry breaker 3. Short-circuit device 5, 6 which short the phases other than a tested phase is provided to the test circuit breaker 4. When a three-phase circuit breaker is used as the auxiliry breaker 3, the phase correspondent to the tested phase is also provided with a short-circuit device. The first phase of the breaking becomes a tested phase by delaying the opening time of the auxiliary breaker 3 than that of the test breaker SP and the residual phases are brokened by the auxiliary circuit breaker 3. In this case, since the phases other than the tested phase of the test breaker 4 are shorted by the short-circuit devices 5, 6 these are not damaged.
