Abstract

PURPOSE: To secure a sufficiently large restriking voltage, by discharging from a pre-charged, relatively small power supply condenser to a part of a power supply reactor with such polarity that will raise the restriking voltage and further by utilizing a high-voltage rectifier.
CONSTITUTION: Condenser 10 is charged from DC power supply 8 via disconnecting switch 9, and condenser 17 is charged from DC power supply 15 via disconnecting switch 16. By discharging simultaneously in gaps 11 and 19, voltage supply current is supplied to a circuit breaker to be tested. Since it is so constructed that a high restriking voltage value is produced as the voltages of condensers 10 and 17 are added, it is possible to produce a highly economical 4-parameter restriking voltage.
