1530986 Silicon chlorides DYNAMIT NOBEL AG 4 July 1977 [7 July 1976] 27982/77 Heading CIA A mixture of silicon tetrachloride and trichlorosilane is obtained by reacting silicon or a siliconcontaining material (e.g. ferrosilicon, silicon carbide or silicon nitride) with hydrogen chloride in a fluidized bed at 250 to 500‹ C., in the presence of 0À2 to 10 parts by volume of gaseous silicon tetrachloride per part by volume of hydrogen chloride at a specific mass-velocity of the gaseous constituents in the bed from 250 to 2500 kg/m2h.
