Abstract

1530896 Panel G W WYNN Ltd 7 Oct 1975 [9 Oct 1974] 43829/74 Heading E1B [Also in Divisions B5 and F2] A constructional board comprises a main planar member having on one face a plurality of laterally spaced longitudinally extending ribs arranged parallel to the side edges of the member with the spaces between the ribs extending uninterruptedly the length of the board, the ribs being laterally spaced from each other in a manner permitting interleafing with the corresponding plurality of ribs of a second, identical board with engagement of side faces of the interleafed ribs to connect the boards together in laterally fixed relation and with the side edges of the boards laterally coincident, the lateral distance measured across all the engaging side faces of said plurality of ribs defining a span Nw (where N is an integer and w is a module width of the arrangement of ribs in the board and is not less than the width of any of the interleafed ribs within said span), the engaging side faces of said plurality of ribs including at least one pair of oppositely directed faces that co-act with mutually opposed engaging side faces of the plurality of ribs of said identical board, said at least one pair of faces being spaced apart a distance n w (where n is any integer not greater than ¢N) and from the centre of the board at least to one side thereof there being a space of at least one module width that is free of ribs.
