Abstract

1530734 Dishwashing machines SOC CIDELCEM 24 March 1976 [21 April 1975] 11828/76 Heading A4F A device for drying dishes leaving a washing machine 1 comprises a vertically movable drying hood 4 which can be lowered from an inoperative position so that a skirt 10 e.g. of flexible material fits around a basket of dishes 3 on a table 2, the hood being fitted with a fan 5 and heating resistors 7 for creating a flow of hot air over the dishes. As shown the hood has wheels 13 which co-operate with vertical slides 11 to allow the vertical movement, the hood being counterweighted by means (not shown). The fan 5 and resistors 7 may be energized automatically when the hood 4 is lowered. The hood may also be hinged about a vertical or a horizontal axis Figs. 5 and 6 (not shown) so that it can be moved away from the top of the table 2. In a modification Fig. 7 a drip tray 15c and deflector blades 21a, 21b direct the hot air to flow upwardly to dry glasses 22 in a further basket 3c resting on the table.
