ATVES FRED H. SUBLET'I'E, F INDIANAPOLIS IN DIANA, ASSIGNOR TO INDIANA DRY CLEAN- ING EQUIPMENT COMPANY, A COPARTNERSHIJP COMPOSED 0F SAID SUBLETTE CLEO I. MGLEAN, 0F INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA.
Application filed September 8, 1925. Serial No. 55,037.
The object of my invention is to provide a device by means of which the arment cleaners may safely hasten the dryin of freshly cleaned tubular garments, such, or instance, as skirts, blouses, waists, shirts, etc.
The accompanying drawing'illustrates my.
invention.
In the drawing 10 indicates a base ring to which is secured the lower end of a reticulated cylinder 11 supporting a ring 12 at its upper end. Bolted to ring 12 is a ring 13 which forms a base for the lower end of a reticulated cone 14 to which is secured, near its base, a circumferential series of spring clips 15 the arms of which are suitably padded so that they may not mar the garments.
Mounted within cylinder 11, at about the plane of the base of cone 14, so as to rotate in a horizontal plane, are the blades 16 of a fan conveniently driven by an electric motor 1? controlled from switch 18. The switch 18 is located at a convenient height on a standard 19 upon which is a hanger arm 20 vertically adjustable'on the standard and adapted to support a ially above conelt.
- In operation a freshly cleaned garment is supported from hanger 20 so as to envelope cone 14, the lower edge of the arment being clasped by clips 15 so as to e retained in place. Fan 16 is then rotated so as to blow air up through the garment so as to dry it I claim:
1. In a garment drying device for use. in cleaning establishments, the combination of a base, a fan guard carried by said base and having a perforated top, a standard car ried by said base and extending substantially above said perforated top, a cross arm carried by said standard and extending over a garment support, and an upwardly delivering fan mounted on "said support within said guard.
guard. garment hanger 21 ax-' fan 2. In a garment drying device for use in cleaning establishments, the combination of a base, a fan guard carried by said base and said perforated top and adapted to receive a garment support, an upwardly delivering fan mounted on said support within said guard, and means carried by said guard for engaging the lower edge of a garment to hold the same expanded.
3. In a garment drying device for use in cleaning establishments, the combination of a base, a fan guard carried by said base and having a conical perforated top, a standard carried by said base and extending substantially above said conical top, a cross arm can ried by said standard and extending over said conical top and adapted to receive a garment support, and an upwardly delivering fan mounted on said support within said a. In a garment drying device for use in cleaning establishments, the combination of a base, a fan guard carried by said base and perforated top, a standard having a conical carried by said base and extending substantially above said conical top, a cross arm carried by said standard and extending over said conical top and adapted to receive a garment support, an upwardly delivering mounted on said support within said guard and clips carried by said conical top and adapted toreceive and retain the lower edge of the garment.
In witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand at Indianapolis, Indiana,'this 3rd day of September, A. D. one thousand nine hundred and twenty five. said perforated top and adapted to receive 1 FRED II. SUBLEIIE.
