Abstract
The resistor body consists of p-doped pyrolytic polycrystalline cubic silicon carbide. Said body may be applied to a conductive or non-condutive support, e.g. consisting of strip or wire. The silicon carbide is deposited from the gas phase on a heated support by decomposition of a mixture of an Si compound and a carbon compound or silicon-carbon compound.
