Abstract

1526940 Centrifugal pumps BRITISH GAS CORP 18 Dec 1975 [31 Dec 1974] 56167/74 Heading F1C A centrifugal pump comprises an impeller 3 and motor unit 1 and a housing 4 secured detachably to the motor unit and consisting of a moulded plastics impeller chamber body 5 in one piece and within a sheet metal container 6, e.g. of stainless steel, body 5 and container 6 having co-operating recesses 13,12 to fix the body relative to the inlet and outlet ports 7, 8. The body, which can be a press fit in the container, may be in the form of a volute.
