Abstract

1523372 Display devices EVERBRITE ELECTRIC SIGNS Inc 13 Jan 1976 01124/76 Heading G5C In a device for showing variable prices in restaurants, stores or the like, a series of opaque plastics holders 10 are held behind a frame 12 for rear illumination by lamps 18, each holder having windows 48 formed in a separable portion 44 behind which pre-curled opaque tapes 60 bearing transparent price numerals are mounted on transparent supports 58 with flanges 62 carrying the tape coils 64, the numerals being changeable by a finger inserted through a window 48. Supports 58 have a tape supporting face 59 which is forwardly convex to define guiding grooves which the complementarily curved side edges 49 of each window 48. The main part of each holder 10 has two elongated openings 20 in front of which are mounted opaque plastics strips 22 bearing translucent permanent indicia 24. Holders 10 have interlocking, selfaligning longitudinal edges apertured at 38-to receive securing screws.
