Abstract
1520859 Colour television tubes HITACHI Ltd 9 March 1977 [6 May 1976] 10004/77 Heading H1D The phosphor screen and overlying metal film of a colour television tube is formed by coating the faceplate successively with the requisite number of phosphor slurries; a first aqueous emulsion of a water-insoluble film forming resin with colloidal silica, an aqueous ammonium oxalate solution, and aqueous hydrogen peroxide; a second aqueous emulsion of a water-insoluble film-forming resin together with a polyvinyl alcohol-boric acid complex, and a small amount of ammonium hydroxide; and a metal film; and finally volatilizing the organic substances, whereby blistering of the metal film is prevented, and more complete removal of the resin film during volatilization is effected.
