Abstract

Metallic plastic compositions.-Brushes and contacts for dynamo-electric machines and for other electric apparatus are made by moulding with pressure and heating, a pulverulent mixture of 20 to 60 parts of graphite and 80 to 40 parts of a metal, such as copper. A pressure of 2000 kgs. per square cm. lasting from one-half to one minute or longer, and temperatures of 200-300‹ C. are mentioned in the Specificaton.
