Abstract

The invention relates to a germicidal cleaning composition in semisolid form whose germicidal activity is based on the combined effect of iodophores or of an inorganic iodine compound with constituents which have a detergent action, consisting of at least 20 % by weight of sulphated C14-C26 fatty alcohols and/or sulphosuccinates of C12-C24 fatty alcohols; 1 to 20 % by weight of an organic iodine complex or of an inorganic iodine compound; an amount of water which does not exceed 10 % by weight, and at least 20 % by weight of saturated C14-C26 fatty alcohols, C14-C20 saturated fatty acids and succinates or maleates of C10-C24 fatty alcohols, and to a process for the production of such compositions, according to which the components, with the exception of the iodophore, are melted together and cooled to 50-65 DEG C, the iodine complex or the iodine compound is added, and the product is converted to the desired shape.
