Abstract

1518270 Laminates R B SANDELL & CO Ltd 7 April 1977 14827/77 Heading B5N A wall panel comprises a core of resin-bonded mineral fibres faced on each side with a rigid sheet of mineral material, the rigid sheets on opposite sides of the panel having different acoustic resonant frequencies. The mineral material may be plasterboard or asbestos board, the different resonant frequencies being achieved by having the sheets of different thickness; the core may be glass fibres bonded by a thermosetting resin and the sheets may be adhered thereto by a urea-formaldehyde resin adhesive.
