Abstract
1518152 Adjusting optical sighting devices MESSERSCHMITT-BÍLKOW-BLOHM GmbH 16 May 1975 [1 June 1974] 20976/75 Heading G2J [Also in Divisions F3 and H4] A sighting device accepts visible and infrared inputs from A/P which are divided at C such that visible rays pass to eye-piece L, and IR rays pass to goniometer JG, the output of which is representative of the displacement of the IR image from the goniometer axis. To align the optical axes of both telescope and goniometer, coaxial visible and IR aiming marks from reticules M, R (or r' Z') Fig. 5 (not shown) are injected along axis a. If an output (indicating misalignment) is produced from the goniometer, this is electrically corrected by adjustment of X and Y bias potentiometers.
