Abstract

1517036 Cutting-out envelope blanks WINKLER & DUNNEBIER MASCHINENFABRIK UND EISENGIESSEREI KG 6 Nov 1975 [11 Nov 1974 20 Aug 1975] 46055/75 Heading B4B An envelope-blank cutting device comprises means for conveying a web in a path past first and second pairs of rotary vane cutters 7, 9 and 8, 10, the means for conveying the web being arranged to operate at such a speed that the web is moved forward one blank length between consecutive cutting operations. The cutter 9, Fig. 4, is rotatably adjustable relative to the cutter 10 such that the size of the envelope cut from the web may be varied. In a modification Fig. 5 (not shown) the variation in the size of blank may be obtained by moving the blades 8, 10 axially relative to the blades 7, 9; in this case separate pairs of co-acting blades 12, 13 and (12<SP>1</SP>, 13<SP>1</SP>) are used instead of a single pair 12, 13 shown in Fig. 1.
