Abstract

1437296 Packaging KUSTNER SA 3 Oct 1974 [28 Nov 1973] 43034/74 Heading B8C A wrapping sheet 1 incorporating a tearoff filament extending between opposite sides of the sheet along a non-straight line path is formed by indexing a web 3 having the filament secured to its downstream end, so that the filament extends along a straight line between guides A and B, moving further guides 14, 15 so that the filament is moved into the desired pattern, fixing the filament to the web, cutting a sheet out of the web and severing the filament. The filament is fixed to the web by pressing the filament and web against an electrically heated table (17). The filament is severed by a knife sliding in a casing 25 and coaoting against a frame (25<SP>1</SP>) positioned above the web. The sheet is separately cut and has one end of the filament extending from an edge. The sheet may be shaped to wrap a cheese sector on a parallelepipidii object.
