Abstract
PURPOSE:To enhance the quality of a core material of a core for a rotary electric machine by forming bent portions at the prescribed interval when two pectinated core materials are punched from one strip material and dividing it into two at the respective intervals, thereby absorbing the strain at the dividing time. CONSTITUTION:When two pectinated core materials 10, 10' are punched form one strip plate material 20, slits 20 for forming teeth 12 are puched at the first step. Then, the end of the teeth of one core material 10 is punched at the prescribed interval P at the second step to form a cut and bent portion 22 having a step. Scribing lines 24, 25 are drawn between every bent portions 22 to divide the material into two by forming a step 26. In this manner, the strain produced in case of dividing it into two at the third step can be absorbed by the bent portion 22, thereby obtaining a core material of high quality.
