1515455 Non-woven fabric KURARAY CO Ltd 10 June 1976 24114/76 Heading D1R A non-woven fabric of honeycomb-like structure comprising two layers in a doublelayer structure, each layer consisting of series of crossing fibre bundles, in which each cross-point of fibre bundles in each layer exists in an area defined and enclosed by fibre bundles in the other layer and the fibre forming the fibre bundles in one layer is partially interlocked with the fibre forming the fibre bundles in the other layer is made by treating a web of fibre with a stream or spray of fluid as the web is disposed with one face facing the fluid on a first apertured supporting element to arrange the fibres into bundles in a layer and treating the same web with a stream or spray of fluid as the web is disposed with its other face facing the fluid or a second apertured supporting element having a line density higher than that of the first element to further arrange the fibres to form fibre bundles in another layer. The web of fibres may be formed of random webbed polyester and/or fibres.
