Control mechanism; safety wheels and supports.-A toothed quadrant is attached to the handle-bar of a cycle and supports a bell-crank lever connected at one end by a chain to the brake handle. A strut or support, which may be telescopic, is hinged to the frame of the cycle and is held by a spring clip under the saddle when not in use. When the machine is brought to rest the bell crank lever is operated to put on the brake and is held locked in the quadrant. The strut is then swung down to the ground to support the machine. A strut may be placed on each side of the machine.
