Abstract
196,761. Coram, W. G. March 2, 1922. Foot rests.-The footboard A of a motor-cycle is provided near the rear end with an upwardlyprojecting foot-rest, such as B, so that the position and angle of the foot can be varied to reduce fatigue &c. The foot-rest B consists of a detachable rubber block mounted between ears A<3> by means of rods C and further supported upon an upwardly-projecting boss A<4> cast with the footboard A. The lugs A<3> may be formed by brackets adjustable along the footboard to vary the position of the rest B. The footboard may be formed of aluminium, with strengthening ribs on its underside, and with lugs D and jaws F for clamping it to transverse tubes on the cycle. Specification 20672/13 is referred to.
